So as I mentioned, I just launched 19 new websites yesterday.
I’m really starting out getting into serious webmaster web property management and investment stuff.
Mainly I’m just grabbing and aging the domains and establishing a blog on them now so I can start adding content and developing propositions.
- what will people who visit the site be hit with first?
I’ve got a lot of ideas right now about how I’m going to be developing this new portfolio of web properties.
First is simple site flipping, I’m not throwing myself into it and expecting to flip sites over in a few months, I’m building up content, branding and search authority for the blogs and sites and looking to offload them maybe in just less than a year.
But the idea I had which I will talk more about in the next post, was rather than dolling up a blog and flipping that, I would attempt to flip web based businesses, and what’s more I would be carrying out marketing offline in order to do so and get the best price, simply by providing the most value by selling the business to someone who can already run ie - selling a graphic design site to a graphc designer, a freelance writing site to a freelance writer, so anyone can just walk in, pick up the brand and run with it.
But before I can even think about selling these online assets, I have to develop them so that they are growing. That’s where my small business marketing skills come in!
So as I said, we’ve grabbed our domains and slapped a wordpress blog platform on it immediately so we can start growing authority by adding lots of content.
At first, the content will be rubbish, but the beauty is that before I sell the sites, I can go back and work the content up to a respectable standard and in the meantime it will still have developed more authority.
They will need graphic design and web design developments to make them profitable but for now I’ll just be developing propositions first off.
What do I mean by developing a proposition?
Well what am I offering, how much will it be and how will thee tasks be executed?
Once I have got the functionality of my new web businesses sorted, then I can get serious about broader marketing and branding issues.
In my case I’m starting off offering freelance writing, graphic design and I am also developing some profitable niche blogs just for flipping on the cheap.
I’ve grabbed the email address “kurbfreelance@gmal.com” so that I can have a separate address for my new freelance projects. This means that I can have my staff access this account and deal with graphic design and freelance writing projects as the come in.
But I also have other niche businesses. Video marketing, make money online, online gig promotion, ppc adwords consultation not to mention seo services that I can offer also!
You can see I was reluctant to get heavily involved trying to develop these businesses myself, I barely have enough time as it is! I just want to market them to a point where they’re making money, $50 p/week and then bundle it up with marketing services
Next I’m going to talk about website flipping, and then we’re going to get more into marketing ideas for the specific niche so if you’re interested in
