Okay I have some new strategies I am developing. I can’ tell you all about them but I can tell you some stuff.

We’re looking at a business market of service providers who are already providing a high value product at very high margins. It’s a very competitive market, but in a lot of ways, this market is not being fully provided for.

But you can see I’m really targeting this niche because they are service providers so as long as I can prove I provide value, they are going to need my services on an ongoing basis. Also, because they’re service providers, again, it’s easy to hit up directories on or offline to gather listings.

But most importantly, I looked at this market where margins are high but competition is tough, and that’s where you’ll find people willing to innovate and try new things and invest into that.

So in executing the strategy, having done your research, you then set up your blog/website  that displays intimate knowledge of the issues facing your target and how your product or services fixes that problem.

The content of your site is so streamlined; It engages because it’s been specifically customized to reflect the issues that face that target in thier situation.

I don’t want to do a lot of writing to get this off the ground. There’ll be one page of persuasive copy.

I’ll add a video uploaded to youtube of me speaking directly to the concerns faced by people in this industry so they can see who i am, hear what I have to say and recognise that what I offer is specifically designed for their needs.

From that point I will gather data from directories and email or sms txt out an extremely short message:

say we were developing the clown shoes niche for the clown market:

need clown shoes? visit Auckland’s clown shoe experts: www.aucklandclownshoes.co.nz

or

could online marketing sell more of your dartboards? check out www.dartboardmarketing.com

really short. If you’re going to spam . . . do what you can. haha

so you see how I set up a website JUST for this little niche market?

The advertising and pay per click campaigns you then deploy can be highly targeted and have optimum effect.

You see unlike your typical internet marketing technique, we bring them to the website, we provide persuasive content in the form of sales copy and video - but then, the call to action is the call to email or call me, so we can be in personal contact, and begin talking about what specifically it is I can do for them.

See that’s the moment when the work you’ve put into building a solid platform, a decent funnel type system, pays off and you’re actually talking to someone who is serious about purchasing your services, the faceless nature of the internet is removed and you’re building a working relationship with a client which will develop from there.

What I find is the more authority and trust you’ve built up by having solid content and professional presentation the less work you have to do to convince them to purchase.

And I always put how much it’s going to cost. It’s $995 for 3 months. That’s how much I charge. That’s my fee.

I feel People need to know this.

See, I need to keep time wasters from wasting my time, and I don’t want to waste anybody else’s time. That’s why I front up and tell people how much they’re looking at spending, especially when you’re dealing in areas where this kind of service has not been widely available so there’s no concept really of how much the price should be.

So hopefully I’ll update you on my niche targeting project. In the mean time let’s remember

- innovate to target new niches, and just zoom in on niches with cash to spend

- look for business and high volume users of your products and services, or create premium value versions of products and services for niches

- drive traffic to your niche site with targeted online advertising. Research and build up a local database for *ahem* targeted unsolicited communication *ahem*

- use video on your target page to really front up, engage and persuade. Make initiating contact the call to action, but make some indication of what you expect in return for your services available so you don’t end up wasting time with people.
